Story

UKMON was established in 2012 as the first meteor detection network in the UK. Since then the team of amateur astronomers grew to 100+ and helped a successful recovery of Winchcombe meteorite. With this milestone achieved UKMON is now fully focused on building a community of new citizen scientists and with such an unprecedented interest, the costs of running the network are increasing. Groups.io, website running costs and computing power necessary to process increasing amount of data every morning are all paid by volunteers.

With your help we aim to provide the best place for newcomers gain their knowledge and help build strong network here in the UK.
