Story

War in Ukraine

Having survived two years of pandemic which put the travel industry on hold, our wonderful, dedicated team in Kyiv were looking forward to getting back to business as one of the leading incoming tour operators in Ukraine (Arktur Ltd., part of the ASLA Travel Group). Then, on 24 February 2022, the world changed, as the lives of our team in Ukraine changed forever. We are now fundraising in order to help support them, both emotionally and financially, so they can buy essentials and medicines and help their relatives, neighbours and friends too. Fortunately, Natasha, whose home is near Bucha, is now safe in Moldova, currently volunteering to help find suitable homes or hospitals for disabled Ukrainians who have fled their homes. Marina managed finally to flee the dreadful conditions in Mariupol and is now safe in France. Sadly, some have lost their homes, others cannot go back due to vast numbers of land mines, left in their villages to kill and maim. We have staff with relatives who were held hostage in terrible conditions and the same couple also had their apartment destroyed. Many have to remain in or near to Kyiv, with family responsibilities, such as elderly relatives who cannot be left alone. Until their lives can return to near normal, if you would like to help us to help them survive this terrible ordeal, I can promise that your donation of any sum will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for caring!
