Story

Due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine thousands of people are seeking refuge in Poland. We are working to help these people as they come with nothing. We are collecting donations and require financial donations to fund the transport to the Polish/Ukrainian border.

We are looking for donations to be taken to support Ukraine 🇺🇦. If you can donate please do so at Most Holy Trinity Parish - Our Lady of Lourdes Church Dunfermline (Thursday 3rd March, 7:30pm-8:30pm), St. Columbia’s R.C. High School Dunfermline (28th February - 5th March) or Oakley Community Association & Social Club on Friday 4th from 7pm .

We are looking for sleeping bags/mats, blankets, kids warm clothing, thermal underwear and warm coats (adults), candles, lighters, batteries, hygiene products, canned/jarred food, camping style metal tableware & cutlery, painkillers/anti-inflammatory meds, bandages, tourniquets, flashlights, foldable cots, prams, nappies, baby wipes, baby bottles, baby formula etc, pet food.

If you can help provide transport or any other goods in large quantities please get in touch.

Update:

We are raising the funds by gathering physical donations at Oakley Community Association and Social Club, and other locations across Scotland. These donations are then sorted and organised by volunteers from the community and will be transported to Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Thus, the donations made on this Just Giving page will be spent on covering the cost of transport, additional fees, and any left over funds will be used to order emergency aid directly to the charity.

The funds will be spent by Maria and Magdalena Orzeg-Wydra to support Caritas Archidiecezji Warszawskiej. The funds will be distributed across transport companies who will take the donations directly to Caritas, who will distribute the donations across Ukrainian refugees in Poland and those still in Ukraine.
