Story
Since March 2022, as part of St Lawrence Church and the Tove Benefice we have collected and delivered aid to Ukraine, which has then been distributed by trusted local aid organisations, Ukraine-Mother, to those most in need. Since this time our small team including local Ukraine nationals Oleh Naida and Uliana Teslia, we have collected circa 50 tons of humanitarian and medical aid - this includes the contents of 2 local care homes!
We have also personally delivered 7 ambulances which were then donated to frontline paramedics, and inspired others to assist in similar and greater ways.
We have a significant amount of humanitarian aid, medical items, and Christmas gifts waiting to go to Ukraine. We now need help funding transportation, in the shape of a shared HGV aid lorry costing circa £5000. The lorry will be left in Ukraine to support logistics work in the country.
Unfortunately the need for aid in Ukraine is as great as it has been at anytime. We would be grateful for any donations which would help us continue with the very important voluntary work we have been doing for almost 4 years now.
Sincere thanks
