I've raised £1000 to help Ukrainian rowers

Like many of you, I am heartbroken by the war in Ukraine and the hardship it’s created for millions of people forced to flee their homes for safety. As a rower and a member of the Isle of Ely Rowing Club, I wanted to find a way to show my solidarity and support for the Ukrainian rowers, many of whom are now finding shelter in the neighbouring Poland.
I have been in touch with the Polish Rowing Association, who is coordinating efforts with many Polish clubs to host the affected Ukrainian rowers and their families. Among those are a squad of 20 young rowers under 23 with their trainers and a group of 30 athletes currently staying in Warsaw. Let’s all pull together to support the work of the Polish Rowing Association and help the Ukrainian rowers in this difficult time!
The collected money will be used to organise transport from Ukraine, provide food and accommodation in Poland as well as a place to continue training. All the donations from this page will be converted to Polish Zloty and sent to the Polish Rowing Association and the clubs hosting Ukrainian rowers in Poland.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my page!
