The suffering of Syrian people has been endless in this war which is now it its sixth years with humanitarian crisis not witnessed since the world war II. It 's estimated that 11 million Syrians have fled their homes since the outbreak of the civil war in March 2011. Among those escaping the conflict, the majority have sought refuge in neighboring countries or within Syria itself.
The British Government has pledged to take in limited number of Syrian refugees from those who are affected the most.
Families who came to the UK, although they has escaped horrifying situation, they are coming with extremely difficult conditions. Some are injured with life lasting disabilities, some have been detained and were subjected to dreadful torture , children have been off schools for years living in inhumane conditions, but all are coming with painful scars which the war has left on them and their children.
This campaign is aimed to help in healing these scars and ease their vulnerability in their new home in the UK. We will provide a direct support to families in areas of Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire by focusing on:
- Teaching English language to help them with their day-to-day needs.
- Essential clothes for families and children.
- Children support in their education.
- Counselling and wellbeing.
- Understanding the aspects of living in Britain so that they integrate well within the society.
