Story

At Intersectional Uprising, we are a grassroots activist collective united in the fight for women’s rights—everywhere, for everyone.

We rise in unwavering solidarity, lending our voices to those silenced by oppression, violence, and injustice.

We rise for the women of Afghanistan, forbidden from speaking in public and subjected to brutal punishments.

We rise for the young girls in Iran, forced into marriage before they’ve had a chance to grow.

We rise for the women of Palestine, watching their children suffer in silence as their most basic needs go unmet.

We rise for the women of the United States, whose bodily autonomy has been legislated away.

We rise for trans women—because trans women are women, and their fight is our fight.

We rise for women of colour, who are too often unheard, unprotected, and disproportionately targeted by systemic racism, misogyny, and state violence.

We rise for disabled women, migrant women, women from minoritised ethnicities, working-class women, and all those whose intersecting identities expose them to layers of violence, discrimination, and erasure.

We rise for the women of the UK, where violence against women and girls has been declared a national emergency.

We stand with all marginalised communities, recognising that liberation is only possible when those most impacted are centred. Through action, education, and community-building, we use our voices to organise, resist, and demand change.

Between demonstrations, we remain rooted in grassroots activism—connecting communities, creating safe and inclusive spaces, and amplifying the demands of the most impacted.

We believe liberation is collective, and we will not rest until equity, dignity, justice, and freedom are realities for all women, everywhere.

To keep our marches accessible, safe, and impactful, we rely on the generosity of our community. Donations help cover essential costs like public liability insurance, hiring PA equipment, transport for attendees, advertising, and accessibility provisions. Every contribution ensures that our voices can continue to be heard loud and clear in the streets—and that no one is left behind in the fight for justice.
