Story

I'm trying to raise £200 to Get a book I have wrote printed to raise awareness for ulcerative colitis.

The intro to the book is:

There are moments in life that divide everything into two parts: before and after.

For some people, that moment comes suddenly. A phone call. An accident. A diagnosis. For others, it arrives slowly, creeping into everyday life so gradually that it takes time to realise just how much has changed.

For me, the change came through illness.

When I first began experiencing symptoms, I had no idea what was happening to my body. What started as occasional discomfort slowly developed into something that would affect every part of my life. My health declined, my confidence disappeared, and the simple things I once took for granted became daily challenges.

Over time, ulcerative colitis would change the way I lived, worked, travelled, socialised, and viewed the future. It would bring me face to face with pain, fear, uncertainty, and exhaustion. It would test me physically, mentally, and emotionally in ways I never imagined possible.

Yet this story is not only about illness.

It is also about resilience.

It is about the people who stood beside me when life became difficult.

It is about learning to adapt when circumstances are beyond your control.

It is about finding hope during some of the darkest moments of your life.

Most importantly, it is about continuing to move forward even when every step feels difficult.

This book tells the story of my journey with ulcerative colitis. The struggles, the setbacks, the victories, and the lessons learned along the way.

If you are living with ulcerative colitis yourself, I hope this book reminds you that you are not alone.

If you are a family member, friend, or caregiver, I hope it helps you better understand the challenges faced by those living with invisible illnesses.

And if you simply picked up this book out of curiosity, I hope it offers insight into a condition that affects millions of people around the world but is often misunderstood.

This is my story.

It is not a massive book but big enough to raise awerness and a insight into what it’s like living with ulcerative colitis
