The Ulverston Lantern Festival shows how a town can come together for a big fun family event. It shows our creative design capability from the basics of paper & cane. For over 30 years we have paraded through our town as rivers of light made up of hundreds of lanterns.

All participants in the event contribute to the costs for the evening by buying the lantern kits, however we need to pay for all associated extras which come along with the fun and that's why we appeal to you for help. e.g Insurance, licence fees and emergency first aid are all required.
