I'm raising £1000 to create retreats that are accessible to disabled people.

Story

I've spent a lot of time working and talking to disabled people about the things they'd love to do if accessibility wasn't constantly getting in the way. Something that comes up time and time again is how difficult it can be to find spaces where they can truly relax, connect with others, and feel included without having to fight barriers every step of the way.

That's why I'm creating a series of accessible retreats focused on intimacy, connection, confidence, well being, and community, where disabled and able-bodied people can come together in a safe, welcoming environment. These retreats will give people the opportunity to explore relationships, communication, self-confidence, touch, intimacy, and meaningful human connection without judgement or barriers.

For many disabled people, conversations around intimacy, relationships, and sexuality are often overlooked or avoided altogether. Yet connection is a fundamental human need, and everyone deserves the chance to explore it in a supportive and accessible space.

The reality is that making events genuinely accessible costs more. From accessible venues and facilities to specialist equipment, support staff, and accessibility requirements, there are additional expenses that can make projects like this difficult to get off the ground.

I'm raising money to help make these retreats a reality and to ensure that disability isn't a reason for someone to miss out on experiences, learning opportunities, and connections that many of us take for granted.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help create spaces where people can feel seen, valued, included, and empowered to build meaningful connections with themselves and others.

If you can support this project, thank you. And if you're not able to donate, sharing this page would mean the world. Thank you!
