I'm fundraising for UNBROKEN under EBRD Community Initiative to cover the cost of essential surgical technology for urgent and planned care.

The current need is to replace outdated electrosurgical units used in operating rooms with two modern electrosurgical systems for open and laparoscopic procedures. These systems are indispensable for precise cutting and coagulation, safer intraoperative hemostasis, and more reliable surgery in a high-volume hospital working under wartime pressure.

The total cost of the fundraising is EUR 50,000 and the full amount will be matched by the European Bank for the Reconstruction and Development. This is our second fundraising with UNBROKEN.

About the UNBROKEN rehabilitation centre

UNBROKEN is a rehabilitation facility in the city of Lviv, where adults and children affected by the war receive comprehensive medical care: from treatment to prosthetics and rehabilitation. ❗ The Centre is the largest medical institution on the west of Ukraine, providing emergency and intensive medical care across four hospitals, including a children’s hospital and a maternity hospital. It serves more than 25,000 patients annually.

EBRD delegation visiting the prosthetics and assistive technology workshop at the Unbroken Centre. The team is introduced to cutting-edge equipment used for the design and production of high-quality prosthetics. The facility enables advanced rehabilitation support through precision technology, enhancing mobility and independence for patients.

Patients are engaged into the rehabilitation sessions, including occupational and physical therapy exercises, under the specialists’ guidance. The centre provides a supportive environment for recovery and reintegration after trauma.
