E-Basket Project -Basket/Bowl weaving remains one of the most widespread art forms among the people in Burundi.
The project has formed a consortium of people who will engage in weavers teaching these skills among the consortium members.
The finished items will be traded on e-commerce platforms such as eBay. The funds of which will go on to further finance this project and lead to starting the other projects.
We want to bring the beauty of these products to the world this day and age e-commerce should be accessible to everyone.
United Africa has been formed to empower communities in Burundi. Several projects will be launched this website is designed to capture the journey as it happens via a number of vidoes which will be on a youtube channel and various blogs on our website.
United Africa not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy. Tackling poverty and improving the lives of local communities is our goal. Our projects we will work with the local people and fully engage with them to undertake a range of integrated development programmes amongst rural communities.
United Africa was an idea we had after spending many years in Africa and having first hand witness to much of the poverty and one of the founders having grown up in a small village just outside Bujumbura first hand witnessed and survived such adverse conditions. We want to do what we can and do the right thing and try our level best to improve lifes.
Poverty wastes people’s potential, depriving society and economy of the skills and talents of those who have valuable contributions to make. We want to improve lifes show the world the protentail bring in much needed economy to empower local communities.
