I've raised £1000 to Help raise awareness and support mens mental health.

This year a team of us representing the United Minds Organisation will be running the Great South Run to money as well as awarness and to support mens mental health. United Minds started in 2021 are a non-profit men's mental health organisation based in the Portsmouth area. Over the last few years they have generated a huge following by organising social events like football matches, kickabouts and golf days as well as offering support and safe places for men to talk with their weekly talk nights. There funding goes towards organising events and offering support with therapy sessions for men suffering from mental illness health. There aim is to provide safe places for men to talk and open up about their problems, to support them through mental ill health and their journey to recovery through therapy. Physical exercise can greatly improve ones mental health and help people onto a journey of recovery. For that reason it is the perfect event to showcase the strength of men 💪 to come together and break the stigma surrounding mental health as well as raising some funding to help individuals suffering and continue to increase awareness of this great organisation 💙
