I'm raising £3000 to build a bore hole in Kenya to supply clean running water in memory of Dahlia

Our beloved friend and valued member, Dahlia, recently passed away. She was the most beautiful, kind, caring person who always looked out for others and possessed such selfless generosity and dedication to every aspect of her life. To honour her memory, we will be completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge which is a 38.6km round trip including 1585m of ascent taking on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). We are raising money to build a bore hole in Kenya that will supply clean, running water to a community - a cause that Dahlia was strongly passionate about.
Any extra money that we raise will go towards a memorial bench and plaque to be placed in Sheffield in her name so that we can always have her with us❤️
About the cause (written by Ismat Levin, Dahlia's mum):
A lot of areas in Kenya have no running water and people, usually children and women, walk miles to get water for everyday use. Most of the time the water is unclean and both animals and people drink from it. I was born in Kenya and Dahlia visited my parents with me many times and really loved the people and the country so I want to do this in her memory.
A bore hole accompanied with power supply and a storage tank that would serve a community costs approximately £2000, depending on the depth and soil conditions. My aim is to find the right location and most deserving community in need of clean running water.
Thank you for your kind contribution towards this. I pledge to you that all the money you raise will go directly to this cause and I will personally oversee the project, with nothing lost in administration. I also pledge to provide you with details of the chosen project.
There is no healing better for the heart than helping another.
With love and gratitude
Ismat Levin xx
