I've raised £5000 to Start Upcycle Bike Project

At Monmouthshire Upcycle and Forest Upcycling Project , we believe passionately in 2 things; People and the Environment. We have been working towards these goals for more than 4 years at our furniture recycling warehouses in Cinderford and Chepstow.
Now we need your HELP to start a new Upcycle BIKE PROJECT!
The new Upcycle Bike Project aims to use donated bikes to create opportunities for people in training, volunteering and social interactions. Donated bikes and those rescued from landfill, will be refurbished by volunteers and will then follow one of two pathways, either being sold to fund more work, or being given away in our 'Earn a Bike' scheme for people on low incomes. Community workshops will be held for different groups of people (including 11-18yrs, over 60s, open workshop) and a huge number of volunteering positions will be available. There will also be apprenticeships for individuals to train to become qualified bike mechanics. We have taken a huge amount of our inspiration from Bristol Bike Project and can only hope to be as successful as they are one day. You can see more of what we do at upcycle on our facebook pages; Monmouthshire Upcycle facebook and Forest Upcycling Project Facebook.
Working togther with Ed Haythornthwaite, from 'ifixbikes', we are hoping to create something exciting that really adds something beneficial to our community.
We are looking for funding to buy the start up tools we need to get this project up and running. Please give your support and share with your friends.
