I'm raising £1600 to get the clock back up and running at the top of Prestatyn High Street

It has been decades since the clock at the top of Prestatyn High Street has been in working order.
As a small part of the town's heritage, in the Conservation Area and on the Offa's Dyke National Trail, it deserves to be functional again, and lit up at night.
I have sought a competitive quote from a local clock repair company (Kane Hughes of North Wales Watch Repairs, who recently restored the main green town clock to working order) for the installation of a new mechanism and clock hands to match the existing, alongside permission from the property owners. Unfortunately it is not possible to salvage the old mechanism.
This is an installation which is located on private property but serves the public interest. Crowd funding seems the best way to finally make some progress towards restoring it. This is an opportunity to contribute just a little towards maintaining the pride we all have in our town.
Thank you for anything you can give!
