Story
On the 25th March, the University of Portsmouth Women’s Football Club will be sleeping rough for the night. We will be trying to raise awareness for the homeless as well as gain a better understanding to what the they go through. Homelessness is devastating, and dangerous, and yet in the UK it is something that is so common - everyday more and more people become homeless. On any given night in 2016, 4,134 people slept rough across England, which was more than double the amount in 2010. Every year, these figures seem to increase, and we feel that this just isn’t good enough - something needs to be done.
We are looking to raise £300, with 50% of the money raised going straight to The Roberts Centre, and the other 50% to UPWFC for the ongoing season.
Donations of any size will be extremely appreciated.
