University Rowing Aberdeen (the joint programme between Robert Gordon University Boat Club and Aberdeen University Boat Club) are doing a Sponsored Row on Friday 14th December 2018 from 8am-7pm outside M&S on Union Street (St. Nicholas Shopping Centre), Aberdeen, to raise much needed funds for equipment this Christmas in time for the new season ahead!

This season the programme has seen both recreational and competitive numbers increase, with the club handling numbers of over 90 student-athletes in one day.

The joint programme provides athletes of all levels, from beginners to GB triallists, the opportunity to compete and participate in this great team sport. We are raising money to purchase much needed new equipment for University Rowing Aberdeen to help with the demand in the programme. We have already fundraised this semester for this equipment, a total of £1,200 through bag packing at two supermarkets in Aberdeen, however, we have not quite hit our target of £3,200 yet. Each member of URA has a target of £25 per person to raise, please help them reach their individual targets!

The purchase of this equipment would greatly support the development of the URA project and benefit our athletes immensely, so any size of donation is greatly appreciated!
