Story
We are a family team living in Eaton Bray spending our days in lock down making full face protective visors for our fantastic front line staff, working tirelessly to help those suffering from the pandemic. The small team consists of 2 design and technology teachers working at Vandyke upper school and our daughter studying design at Uni, we have made around 400 visors so far in our small home workshop and producing more everyday! Up until now we have been creating our visors from materials kindly donated by the school and ourselves, however we are quickly running out of supplies and have requests for at least 700 more visors! After many questions from people wanting to donate to the cause we have decided to set up this page, raising funds to purchase more materials. There are more emails arriving everyday from people at breaking point with little or no PPE. We are donating these completely free and desperately want to carry on making for as long as they are needed, your help will allow us to continue our efforts and help as many people as possible. Our visors are already helping people in all 3 local hospitals, care homes, Herts, Beds and the Met police, pharmacies, Doctors surgeries, paramedics, community midwifes and district nurses to name a few. With your donations we can continue to serve the community and help many more of our vital workers!

4 years agoHi All, We have now reached a staggering 9000 visors made and donated to thousands of people. Over 5000 to our frontline workers and others to help our small businesses all over our local area to open safely not to mention the care homes and vulnerable people we have help stay safe. We would love to reach the magic 10,000 but need your help one last time! A visors costs around £3.50 to make so even if you could sponsor just 1 visors that’s one visor closer to 10,000. Thank you so much. XX

4 years agoDear All We have now made and donated almost 8000 Safety visors for a wide range of our front line services and NHS Heroes. We are still getting may hundreds of requests for help but sadly our funds from this amazing fundraising page, will this week run out. The materials we have still to make up will run out by the end of next week as well. Please please if you can, will you help us further, even if you are able to fund the cost of 1 visor £3.50 that one more live potentially saved! Thank you very very much. Jacqui xx

Hi Jacqueline, I just ordered your shields for our hair salon in Harpenden and we are very happy. I had some from Amazon that were very hard to see out of, not so good when cutting hair! Big thanks!
