I've raised £1000 to Helping Nether Green Junior School buy their public access defibrillator. We all can help save a life

"For those who don't know me, my beloved younger brother Simon suddenly and sadly passed away last March from ischaemic heart disease.
He was an avid runner, so approximately 6 months ago I decided to take up the sport he loved. As a complete novice I started the Couch to 5K running programme and since then I have been building up my speed, distance and frequency.
I have now decided, in his memory, to run my first official run, which is a 10k run around Rother Valley and this is due to take place on the 10th October 2021 at 10am. This is a place where Simon loved to run most days.
My aim is to assist Nether Green Junior School in raising funds to buy a defibrillator for the school, giving 24 hour access to the local community, in the hope that this will save lives. They have raised some money to date, but not a sufficient amount.
The run will be exceptionally emotive, but I know Simon would be so proud of me and that is what will motivate me the whole 10k.
I would therefore be so very grateful for your help in this cause. If I am able to exceed my target of raising sufficient funds for the purchase of the defibrillator, then any additional money raised will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
