I don't need many things. When my parents asked me what I wanted this year for my birthday, I really couldn't think of anything.

Then I thought about how much I love learning and going to school. So it would make me really happy if I could help another child go to school too.

I told my parents I want to help a child in Kenya. I don't know why I chose Kenya, but it's what I really want. I want to help an orphan who doesn't have parents to help him/her go to school. I would like to give an orphan a future where he/she can read, write and learn things so that they work, have food, have a home and live for a long time.

I put a target of £240 because it will help me sponsor a child for one or two years (depending on the charity). But if I raise more, I could sponsor that child for even longer, and help with other things he/she might need. That would be great!

Right now, I think I will sponsor at child at Destiny Garden School: http://www.destinygardenschool.org. The school isn't listed on JustGiving, which is why I have to crowdfund instead of the normal fundraising.

Please don't feel the need to give me a present that I need to unwrap. Instead, I hope you will help me make a friend in Kenya.
