I've raised £100 to Launch a Veterans Contact Hub Providing non-medical services for Fife's Amazing Veterans 🏴🏴

What we want to achieve and create is...
1 - A permanent location for all three services personnel to go (Army - Navy - Airforce) either currently serving or Veteran. Called the Veterans Contact hub (V.C.H)
2 - Scottish Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club (a place for our very popular breakfast club to have a forever home.)
3 - Emergency Foodbank Deliveries for Veterans ( a place to store the items)

In greater detail
We’re hoping to set up a new Embryotic Veterans club in Fife called “The Veterans Contact Hub. We already have a club set up and run called the “Scottish Forces Breakfast Club (Dunfermline that was set up by myself in 2018 as there was nothing for veterans to do or meet with likeminded veterans. and hardly any breakfast clubs and no drop in Centre’s.
We decided that there was a desperate need For this.
We did not realise when it first launched however that it would be such a big success. As in December 2018 we started with only 10 members having a breakfast (the a tual breakfast consists of - a 10 piece plus with unlimited tea coffee and toast) AND THEN In February 2020 there was 70 veterans sitting having a big breakfast.
During the pandemic our emergency food parcels for veterans have been a massive help as many of our members where unable to leave their homes. So us bringing a food parcel to them has been a massive help and support for them.
Our vision: why we exist
We want to provide veterans and the Armed Forces personnel with a building that has Warm and Welcoming Environment for our veterans and armed forces where likeminded veterans can meet each other - talk and take part in non-medical activities and have one to one or group conversations and a right good anount of Banter.
Our mission: what we do
We would support this by fundraising and Donations to provide whatever services and activities we have agreed plus maintaining and up keeping of a building through a lease to hold the facilities in.
Our strategic aims: what we will achieve
1. Stronger links with forces charities and organisations for now and for the future.
2. Stronger links with our local Royal British Legion to help support each other.
3. Partnerships which improve opportunities to learn for our veterans.
4. Stronger links to mark and assist Veterans and Forces Special Day and events.
But heres the Issue
• At the moment the issues that we have are we are very limited on what we can put on for the veterans and at what cost our membership is increasing every week minimum by two members max by ten members.
• The members feel only meeting once a month is good but would prefer longer ie more days and doing other activities. I agree whole heartedly and support them
.• There is no other Veterans Contact Hub in Fife and with the size of Fife and Historic nature of the Armed Forces with Rosyth Dockyard and Leuchars and Army in various parts we have a rich seam of veterans in the Region compared to Lothian whom has two Edinburgh has one and Glasgow at least four one being accommodation so we are way behind and have a urgent need as we are failing our veterans.
And sadly at the moment money is and issue to make the V.C.H - This is why we need your help to get a place to host all the things listed abobe and many more and by doing this support fifes veterans
Thank you
V.C.H - Veterans Contact Hub
