Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Want to help us to do something a little different this year & help families in need?
After the success of our Christmas fundraising.. we want to go bigger and do more. In addition to us donating £1 from every recipe box sold throughout 2021, we would love to add more to the pot and be able to build bigger plant based packages for Lincoln families in need.
It’’s no great surprise in the current climate that the need for food banks and extra support has massively increased over recent months.. this has been further highlighted by the media coverage of the food packages provided for children in receipt of free school meals during lockdown. As a former teacher I have taught some truly gifted children who were on the free school meals list and know how important a nutritious meal is for children at such a vital stage of development. Providing food for a family just takes one thing off their ‘worry list’ allowing them to focus a little more on everything else.. never underestimate how much food poverty impacts on the whole family.
Managing to make ends meet for so many is a challenge at the moment, some more than others. At VEG OUT we feed people, we love helping people to feel healthier and able to get that control back. Its just what we do.
In 2021 we would REALLY love to be able to support our local community by providing meal packages to allow families to cook nutritious meals at home.. taking inspiration from our regular recipe box range, each one of our ‘Family Meal Packages’ will include 4 nutritionally balanced meals to feed 4 people (or 2 adults and 2-3 children) with all ingredients and instructions provided.
We will be working in partnership with Mint Lane Cafe for this project acting as our central collection point. The packages will be available every week from February half term and throughout the year with collection from Mint Lane Cafe. All donations on this page will go towards the collation of the packages to help bring a little bit of control and calm for those who need it.

We know that its a tough time at the moment - We really do appreciate anything you might be able to give to support this 🌱
