I've raised £2000 to donate to the Doncaster local Charity, Firefly Cancer Awareness & Support.

Venatu Recruitment Group are tackling the 24 mile long, Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to help try and raise money for the local Charity, Firefly Cancer Awareness & Support. We began our training on Sunday 3rd February where some of our VRG members took on Mam Tor. Mam Tor is a 517m hill near Castleton in the High Peak of Derbyshire. The snow & freezing cold temperatures definitely made the walk more exciting.. & slippery! We have planned to join for more intense training every couple of weeks which will hopefully prepare us for the event and get us all raring and ready to go for the big day on Saturday 6th July 2019! Keep an eye on our social media pages for photos and updates on how our training journey is going!
We would highly appreciate any donations, small or large. Every penny counts. Thank you in advance from all at VRG.. & wish us all luck!
About The Three Peaks Challenge: The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24 miles (38.6km), and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent. The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
About Firefly: Founded in 2006 by Denise Dunn after her personal experience with cancer, Firefly help local people in their time of need, making a difficult time a little easier. The Firefly Express vehicles provide free transport to local cancer patients and their families in the borough of Doncaster to regional treatment hospitals, using their fantastic team of volunteer drivers. They currently have a fleet of seven vehicles to cope with the ever-increasing requirements. Using their personal experiences, Firefly are determined to change the journey for cancer patients while raising awareness, particularly amongst young people, to spot the signs before it advances.
