Story

My niece Verity was born on the 25th January 2015, and has been a healthy, active child until just after her second birthday.

On the 21st February 2017, she experienced a life threatening heart arrhythmia, which caused her heart to race at 250bpm. She was subsequently diagnosed with an extremely rare tumour on her heart that causes her heart to beat in a fatal rhythm.

As a family, we are desperate to raise enough funds to take Verity to the Boston Childrens Hospital in America where doctors have already confirmed they can give Verity the operation she needs to remove the tumour.

The hospital offers a cardiac tumour programme and have extensive experience in removal of this type of tumour with a 100% success rate. This type of tumour is incredibly rare, so rare that the NHS have only seen a handful of cases and are unable to offer the surgery for Verity to have the tumour removed.

So in response to this, I've enlisted a team of 10 lycra-clad Farmers and we are hoping to raise enough funds to take Verity to Boston where the surgical team there have already confirmed they can remove the tumour which will allow Verity to live a normal life.

The cycle gang consists of myself Adam Peat, Adam Morris, Ben Beard, Chris Walters, Dave Logsdon, Jonny Blake, Jonny Gallimore, Paul Chapman, Rich Clark, and Rich Swindells. Travelling from Soho to Central Paris over 3 days, we will need to train hard to stay the distance.

Please, please give what you can to help send Verity to Boston to enable her to receive the care she so desperately needs. No donation is too small (or large!) Thankyou.
