We are raising £1500 to help run community projects

Verwood Rotary needs your help.

Verwood Rotary is a relatively small club of approximately 20 members.

Although small in numbers, we achieve outstanding results for both local and international charities and this year alone, are looking set to raise over £35,000, thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

However, Rotary's and Charity rules make clear that this money is - rightly - ringfenced for making charitable donations to the great causes we support, and therefore cannot be used to fund our overhead costs.

These includes, for example, the costs of running, upgrading and hosting our website, any advertising and events held to recruit new members and Rotary in general.

Instead, these have traditionally been paid through the form of a monthly membership subscription by our members. However, In the light of rising prices, the cost of running Verwood Rotary is now outstripping our subscription resources.

As this year's President of Verwood Rotary, it falls on me to ask the wider community for help in supporting the running costs of our club.

Please remember that all Rotary work is done on a voluntary basis, and no Rotarian makes any money whatsoever for being involved with Rotary.
