Rocco our beloved human dog sadly passed away on 07/09/17, he had been diagnosed with meningitis and a brain tumor. Although we managed to clear the meningitis the brain tumor took hold and we had to say goodbye, Rocco was 10 years old.

We first got Rocco from the RSPCA in July 2008, he was 12 months old. He had such a bad start to life, he was a severe cruelty case who was rescued as a pup but had to spend just short of a year with the RSPCA whilst his previous owners were prosecuted.

He had part of his ear chopped, part of his tail chopped and a huge scar that ran across his belly. When we first saw him on the website we knew we wanted him, but we didn't meet the criteria listed. We managed to get the RSPCA to let us visit him, and it was love at first sight for all of us. Rocco shown he had manners with a child and Tara our Rotti X we had at the time...we could take him we were over the moon.

Because he had been in kennels for almost all his life at that point he didn't know what it was like to be inside a house, had never seen a tv, stairs a sofa and most of all a massive garden for him to go and play in. Don't get me wrong he was such hard work for a long time but underwent training and passed with flying colours and also competed in doggy Olympics and won 3 gold medals. He grew into the most gentle loving boy I could ever wish for. A big affectionate bear who loved to sing cuddle and comfort those he loved.

He has left a gapping hole that will never be filled and it's with a heavy heart and regret that we have had to set up the page.
