Weʼve raised £760 to Help Brian aka Boris through his journey to kick Cancers Butt! I AM the STORM #Supportboris

Funded on Tuesday, 26th September 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

In March this year Brian had a biopsy on what he thought was an abscess, however the results confirmed it was Oral Cancer. A week later Brian was given more devastating news that the primary cancer had spread to his chest bone.

Brian and his family were faced with some of their darkest moment’s however it is a testament to Brian’s personality and love for life that as a family they remain focussed and live life to its full. They are making effort to raise awareness for Oral cancer as they go through their journey.

Anyone who knows Brian recognises his love & commitment he has for his girls. Brian is an amazing father to his daughter Kameryn and a loving partner to Lynda. Despite going through gruelling Chemo therapy sessions, Brian remains positive and focussed to live life with them.

Brian is known and loved within his community, he's an original Smeaton laddie known as “Boris". He is always the first to offer help and support to others, It is for this reason that friends and family have approached us to offer to him help through his treatment plan and to ease the financial burden of living with Cancer.

The family will also be looking to use any donations to help finance the costs of travel insurance. Sadly once diagnosed with an illness such as cancer, Insurance companies make it extremely difficult for families to have a sense of normality and the burden them with huge financial cost to have insurance. This can often stop families getting away together.

While the care and attention that Brian has received from Ninewells Chemo Ward has been faultless we want to help Brian fund his alternative treatment plan. Brian is focussed on getting better and beating this horrid disease quoting the words “It gives me Hope”

Anything you donate will make a huge difference to Brian and his family, however if a donation is not possible all we ask is that you share our page.

On behalf of Brian and his family, Thank you for giving us hope x
