For those of you who have the honour of knowing Mike & Lucy Carroll, you will know that this incredible family have already been dealt the cruellest of blows with 2 of their 5 children being diagnosed with uncurable, fatal CNL2 Batten Disease.

Time is beyond precious for this family but tragically Mike has been diagnosed with TSW (Topical Steroid Withdrawal) and over the past few months Mikes health has been continually deteriorating and sadly stays in hospital have been extremely traumatic with scary conversations taking place.

75% of Mikes body is now affected by TSW and doctors have warned that Mike is extremely vulnerable to severe infections, such as sepsis. Mike’s family have now been warned that his body could go into shock at any time which would result in multiple organ failure.

Heartbreakingly, Mike is now fully dependant on others, has been bed bound for weeks and is in horrendous pain. His amazing parents are caring for him around the clock whilst Lucy continues to provide the ongoing care that Ollie and Amelia both require.

The family are still exploring what’s possible for Mike, at this stage, but treatments could be in the form of Plasma Therapy and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, along with Integrative Medicines all of which are costly! Any donations on this page will be used to provide Mike with the help he so desperately needs.
