Fred is 70 years old, he is a wounded soldier and also has diabetes and dementia. Since losing his wife he learnt to use facebook to get in touch with old friends. Fred recieved messages from people posing as new friends in ghana and has been conned out of over £20,000. He has contacted the police now but doesnt have much chance of seeing his life savings again. Fred is now worried for his future and his standard of living is slipping. The emotion, stress and embarresment of the situation are hard for him to cope with. I would like to raise just a little bit of what he has lost.
