Weʼre raising £2,000 to Help fund a new coffee shop in the Whinnies Community Garden, this would in turn raise the money needed to develop and maintain the gardens.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I am a volunteer at the Whinnies Community Garden, this place has done me the world of good in terms of my mental health and I would like to give back something in return. We would love to have a purpose built coffee shop where we could sell more homemade goods, at present we have a small plastic shed where we sell tea, coffee, juice, and biscuits. We also sell produce that we grow, and all the fruit we grow is turned into jam which we also sell. The money from this goes towards developing and maintaining the gardens for our community to enjoy. We recieve no funding and rely solely on donations and holding events through the summer months. The gardens are open to the public to come and enjoy and are run solely by volunteers. Please feel free to visit our Facebook page should you want any more info.

A small group of volunteers work 7 days a week to transform the Whinnies Community Gardens to become a Loverly place for visitors of all ages, children’s play area, butterfly garden, the herb garden, seaside garden to name a few. We want to improve our visitors experience when they visit by improving our refreshments area by having a Coffee shop with both indoor & out seating. Every thing we do we have to raise the money ourselves to continue this great asset for the community, we have 650+ friends on FB.
