In 2017, I have the amazing opportunity to go to Borneo, to help deprived communities and children who currently receive no school education, for four weeks to have the experience of a lifetime. In order to help the children and community, I need to fundraise the money for the trip which is a total of £4000. This alone is a challenge which I hope to achieve.
Whilst in Borneo I have the chance to meet a local deprived community and see the conditions that they live in. Whilst in the community, I will help to build a school for the children, in order to give them the foundations to a better life. I will also interact with the children by teaching them different things through my time there. This not only opens my eyes to the different cultures and lifestyles that people have, but also gives the children hope that people want to help them.
Throughout the rest of my time in Borneo, I will be travelling around to experience many different things, for example; sleeping in tents to sleeping in hammocks to sleeping in actual beds, seeing the beautiful sights in Borneo from the coast, to the jungles in Borneo and to a zip wire from one part of Borneo to another and many more experiences throughout my time there.
The trip is the experience of a lifetime for me as it will give me the once in a lifetime opportunities that will never leave me.
