It's to help providing medical care for the poor in Egypt who suffer heart diseases and cannot afford the cost of medical operations

Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation has embarked on a truly exceptional project that is of enormous significance to the health and wellbeing of the people throughout Egypt and beyond.

Establishing an international medical center of excellence offering state-of-the-art free basic health services to the less privileged at the highest international standards.

Towards this objective, our activities include the following:
Establishing Aswan Heart Centre which provides free medical treatment to the community at large.

Establishing an international heart research centre that contributes to the advancement of global science and technology.
Developing a second line of local generation of physicians, scientists and biologists with accumulated expertise in this vital field.

Our core objective was represented in establishing, along the banks of the river Nile in Aswan- Upper Egypt, a centre of excellence and international standing thus providing hope, improving life chances and serving the children, young people and adults in the whole region.

In line with this vision, Aswan Heart Centre in Egypt is definitely an exciting new development in cardiovascular surgery, treatment and research seeking to transfer knowledge, skills and experience across the region and beyond and help create a biomedical knowledge base which can be exported to the world at large.

This exceptional project aims primarily to provide medical services as well as giving due attention to advanced training programs for personnel while focusing on a wide variety of research opportunities.
