We will be raising money in memory of my bampa, Len Jenkins, who sadly passed away on 30th June 2017.

My granddad had struggled with his health for as long as I can remember, but he never let it stop him doing everything that he wanted to do. He was an inspiration.

Whilst he was ill, he was also the primary carer for my nan who had recently been diagnosed with dementia.

Jamie and I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon on 1st October 2017. All the money raised will be donated to Ward 8 - Singleton Hospital Swansea, where he was cared for by the amazing staff nurses and doctors.

It is often the local communities or charities who get forgotten when people are fundraising and the majority of the fundraising will go to national charities.

The care and support that was given by the staff of ward 8 was exceptional and this is why it is so important to me that our local communities are not forgotten and I would like to give something back to the ward.
