We are raising £10000 in the memory of Claire Browne.

Claire was a serving police officer of 19 years who was a dedicated officer, she was hard working and had been awarded a number of commendations throughout her service. She tragically took her own life after she could see no way out when she was placed under investigation and subsequently arrested. The shame she felt, the stress and strain proved too much for her as officers feel they are treated by investigating officers as guilty until proven innocent.

The support for officers under investigation is non-existent and, on many occasions, they are made to cut contact with their colleagues / friends who are their support networks. Claire was isolated from her friends who were serving officers, because of this. Police officers are human and there is a person behind every uniform.

Claire known as "Browner" to many of her friends was the most Amazing Mother to Stanley, a wonderful loving Partner to Mark and she adored his daughters. Claire was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and the best of friend you could ever ask for. She was loyal to her Family and friends and would have done anything for you. Claire had an infectious smile and laughter, lighting up any room. Claire’s love of Prosecco and gin was famous among her friends.

Claires passion was running and all things ‘sporty’ she was well known in the community because of this. Claire would help anyone achieve their fitness goals. Claire has left a massive void in the community, heartbreak amongst her family and friends and will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Please help us give Claire the send-off she deserves and any money left will go to supporting her son she leaves behind. Her friends are determined to make changes within forces in England and Wales and to supports officers in their time of need.
