At Ashby house and The Lodge they are passionate about the people they support and the care they provide. Many of the adults that use respite and day service struggle with communication which can be extremely frustrating. It can mean a loss of identity and less independence. Their total goal this year is to raise £13,000 to purchase an eye-gaze. This is an assistive technology that can support people to communicate using eye movements and could mean a completely new lease of life for some of our service users.

Anyone who knows me will know that my hair provides me with a sense of identity and is a way that i communicate and display some of my personality to the outside world when its dyed in various shades of pink and purple, thats why i couldn't think of a better way to raise some money for a great cause than by giving this up. On the 2nd July at our summer fete fundraiser i will be having it all shaved off 😳. My ever supportive husband has also agreed to do the same and will be not only having his head shaved but his beard to (that he has had for about 18 years in one way or another), Same day but his will take place at warwick racecourse (his workplace) Please support us and donate if you can or share my page with your friends and family.
