Large Munsterlander Rescue was formed in Doncaster in 1980, as part of the Large Munsterlander Club when it became clear that there was a need to help those dogs that were for one reason or another, needing to be found new homes. After Rescue became independent from the LM Club a new team of helpers, supporters and friends were put together to try to cover the country for the ease of transportation, home checks and of course the all important fund raising. The rescue provides national coverage.
Large Munsterlander Rescue is a charity whose main focus is and always will be “PUTTING DOGS FIRST” and we are not only dedicated to rescuing and rehoming Munsterlanders, but offer confidential help and advice to those who seek it.
All dogs coming into rescue are assessed to see how compatible they are with cats, other dogs, children and their general temperament. All are spayed/neutered (unless too young) or already done and any other veterinarian requirements are attended to before they are ready for their new forever home.
I am raising money for the charity because without fundraising, donations and volunteers we would be unable to fund veterinary bills, ongoing long term care for our senior dogs, neutering, transport, and production of our regular update magazine.
