I've raised £300 to fund Tor's Treats for Cancer and Transplant patients.

My life was saved by the amazing staff at Harefield Hospital when I received a double lung transplant 7 years ago. Since then I like to give back to the hospital as much as possible.
From personal experience, it can be very hard both mentally and physically after a transplant. You spend a lot of time on the ward to recover post transplant or for other treatments later in your journey.
Many can be away from home and family for weeks or even months. It can be particularly difficult to cope over a holiday especially when you see others enjoying time with their families or going out and about on social media. And so Tor's Treats was born!
Thanks to everyone's generosity I was able to provide some Easter baskets for patients last year as well as Christmas goodie bags. They were a huge hit and I had patients and staff contacting me to say how much the baskets boosted the morale on the ward. Patients were really touched to know they were being thought of. One patient told me how much the gifts had meant to her, but sadly passed away a couple of months later. I was so glad to have helped make her last few weeks just a little happier.
This year has been particularly difficult for me as i have been battling stomach cancer in addition to my other health issues. Im very happy to still be here and able to show others having a tough time some love! I have so far bought most of the items myself with kind donations from Yorkshire tea and Teapigs who have generously donated to our cause. However money is a bit tight so while i have still made a donation i could do with a little help! Thats why my target is set this year, most of the work is already done!
You can see more about the baskets here http://tor-pastthepointofnoreturn.blogspot.co.uk/search?q=Easter
please donate a couple of pounds if you can, you can make a big difference for the price of a coffee or sandwich ❤️
Thank you x
