I'm trying to raise money for my amazing mum in law Debbie and her family. Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014. After months of chemo countless hospital visits and surgery, Debbie was given the all clear. Unfortunately this was short lived, the cancer has recently returned, with a vengeance. It is now in her oesophagus and liver, and despite intensive chemo the prognosis is not good, the cancer is now terminal and is spreading quickly. The harsh reality is that Debbie doesn't have long left. Debbie is one of the most generous, loving, selfless people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Her and Neil, her husband, raise three of their grandchildren after they were placed into their care by social services 5 years ago, the youngest is just 4 years old and has been living with them since the day he was born, as well as their own son who also lives with them. Debbie's main focus and priority has been that of the kids, Never mind that she has been dealt one of the hardest blows ever and has fought the hardest battle anyone could ever face she still continues to care for the children and make sure that they have everything they need. They are her priority. Even at the toughest time of her life Debbie is still putting her family first, all she wants is for us all to spend her last months together having fun and making special memories, ones for her to cherish and for us as a family (especially the younger ones) to look back on fondly and smile. One of Debbie's final wishes is that we all get together on a family holiday to the seaside. Obviously with Christmas being close, and everything else that is going on money is tight. So its with a heavy heart that I ask for people to dig deep and help us to make the last few months of this special woman's life the best that she could hope to have. Help us create the memories that many families have so much more time to create. No one deserves it more than Debbie. Thank you for reading this.
