I had to make a new page as the old one was only set up for a month :/

This August we will be cycling from Aarthus (Denmark) back to Aylesham (Sunshine Corner, Kent) in aid of a young local boy called Theo, to help him on his mission to walk. The ride is almost 800 miles and will take the riders 8 days to complete.

Theo's Story:

Theo from Deal in Kent was born into the world 9 weeks early in 2011. He spent a while in intensive care where he needed around the clock specialist care.

We noticed around 8 months old Theo was not meeting his mile stones and had a squint. Theo then went on to have an MRI and various other tests. At the age of 3 Theo was diagnosed with cerebral palsy which affects his legs, arm, balance and vision. Through out this Theo has been amazing, a true inspiration and his determination has amazed us.

Theo has just been accepted for SDR at Great Ormand Street Hospital and meets all requirements for the surgery to go ahead. This is life changing spinal surgery to reduce the spasticity or tightness in his legs, which will allow him to live the independent life he deserves.

The NHS are unable to fund Theo’s surgery or rehabilitation (which is just as important as the operation itself), so we have no option other than to fundraise for this.

After the operation Theo will require intense physiotherapy, specialised equipment and other therapies like horse riding and hydrotherapy.
