In March 2026, our beloved child was rushed to the Horton General Hospital in Banbury. Diagnosed with Adenovirus and Pneumonia, he was swiftly transferred by ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Throughout those challenging weeks, we were deeply grateful for the unwavering care provided by so many incredible people.

First, the dedicated staff at Horton General Hospital kept us calm and our child safe during what we initially thought would be a routine visit but quickly became a whirlwind 24 hours. After experiencing three seizures on the eve of what should have been our wedding day, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team at John Radcliffe took over his care. These remarkable professionals were our guardian angels, providing round-the-clock support not only to him but also to us as a family. Their compassion and strength made an unbearable time more bearable.

Once stable, he was transferred to the Bellhouse Drayson ward for a longer stay than expected. Every member of that team worked tirelessly to prepare him for coming home. The tears, jokes, hugs, and smiles shared with them are memories we will forever cherish. We experienced some worrying times and Vincent had to go through some tough ordeals but with always having their support, words cannot express our gratitude for their dedication.

During this entire ordeal, staying at Ronald McDonald House on-site was a lifeline that kept us close to him and alleviated much stress. This vital support system is essential for countless families facing similar battles.
