    Vincent's Sculpture Trail

HMVCG is committed to recognising the steadfast commitment of our secretary of over 20 years - Vincent D'Olier - who died unexpectedly in November 2019.

To commemorate Vincent's life, HMVCG are working with the local community to establish a sculpture trail linking some of his favourite natural spaces in and around Heaton Mersey.

The goal of HMVCG is to encourage the community to explore our green spaces, and this ambition was Vincent's passion too. He was a strong supporter of the arts and advocated the use of public art to enhance involvement.

We are raising funds to commission the iconic sculptures that Vincent helped identify in the months before his untimely death as part of HMVCG's public consultation with the community and local authority, as appropriate for placement in the environs of our conservation area.

Please contribute generously. You are helping with the foundation of a memorial sculpture trail that will be embellished in the years to come, as well as helping to make Vincent's vision a reality.

We are developing ideas for further fundraising initiatives. Our first fundraising event was a huge success - we even managed to eat, drink and be merry! All in a good cause, of course! Here's the Turkish BBQ that took place at Istanbul Premier Restaurant in November.... If you have ideas for fundraising, please let us know at
