I've raised £200 to give a gift to those in care without friends or family at Christmas

Thanks in advance for your support and generosity.
£1-£5 will buy a small wrapped gift and card such as a calendar, socks or small box of chocolates.
£5-£10 will buy a medium wrapped gift and card such as a scarf, ornament or crockery.
£10+ will buy a large wrapped gift and card such as toiletries, a food hamper or fashion jewellery. Alternatively we could use this to buy a few small to medium gifts for multiple people. Based on previous years around £50 will support an entire small care home, or £100 for a larger home.

In Summer 2015 my grandma's dementia became unmanageable and she had to move into a care home. Violet, another resident, befriended my grandma and spent each day becoming her best friend, as if for the first time. After a few months I noticed Violet never had visitors, she told me she had no friends or family, like many others in the care home.
Although this is incredibly sad all year round, Christmas can be very lonely time for those without loved ones. I asked friends and family if they would be happy to donate gifts for the residents without friends and family at my grandma's care home and was overwhelmed with the response! We were able to help over 70 people with no friends or family across 6 care homes in Rickmansworth, Ealing and Hatch End/Oxhey that Christmas. Unfortunately that was Violet's last Christmas, but I'm glad we could make it so special for her.
Since 2015 the gift donations have grown in Violet’s memory, with over 700 presents donated so far. Last year over 100 people came together to wrap, donate and distribute presents to 254 people with no friends or family across 23 care homes
Some very generous people this year have asked if they could send money so I can purchase a suitable gift on their behalf as I did back in Christmas 2016. If you’re happy to donate I'll make sure to tell you what I bought and which care home your resident belongs to. Sadly I can no longer share recipient names due to GDPR.
Thank you for your support and a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us each year.
