Story

This Saturday I am going to be walking 52km (half the Isle of Wight) as part of The Isle of Wight Challenge with 3 friends. I would love to say it will be a walk in the park but the training, which has been going on since before Christmas have taught me that straight exercise for 11 hours is going to be gruelling and there is a whole world of blister management out there that could make or break us.

Through all the mud, rain and blisters we have been focused on one person who has had a bigger challenge to deal with..... Amelie, an 11 year old little girl who is the daughter of a friend. Amelie got diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor last year. She has had life saving surgery, followed by 6 weeks of intensive radiotherapy and is about to finish 10 months of chemotherapy. Through all this she has held her head high and rolled with many incredibly hard punches. She is truly an amazing girl who instead of just focusing on her own battle with cancer has used it as an opportunity to help raise funds for other children and families in a similar situation.

It would be wonderful if you can help me help her achieve her goal of raising £10,000 for her great charity - Amelie's Rainbow. You can either donate via this page or via the link to her site direct below.
