Story
In Feburary 2021, i had an idea, through lockdown boredom to bring fans and followers of all local football clubs through the power of social media. My idea was to start a virtual Irish Cup on Twitter and let people vote on who they would like to see progress. I randomly drew the teams against each other and progressed through each cup round every week. Of course, it being a cup competition there were some upsets along the way with individual ties reaching several 100 and even upwards of 1000 votes.
The 2021 edition seen Ballymacash Rangers FC and Armagh City FC meet with Armagh coming out on top in an excellent final. All procceds from the gate, donations and prize draws go to TAMHI, a local mental health charity.
Overall in 2021, the total amount raised was £1354. This year, the aim is to raise over £2500.
Please, if you can donate you this very worthwhile cause, your money can go towards raising awareness, support Nd education for those who suffer from mental health illness. After the past 2 years we need each other more than ever. Please show your support. And thank you.
