At Virtue Technologies, we believe in giving back to the community as much as we believe in empowering education through technology. Each year, we dedicate our fundraising efforts to a chosen charity. In 2026, we're proudly supporting The Oliver King Foundation.

Founded in Liverpool, The Oliver King Foundation is now a national charity dedicated to improving heart safety by preventing sudden cardiac deaths through CPR training, defibrillator campaigns, and expanded ECG testing - with over 86 lives saved and 7,000+ defibrillators installed to date.

So far this year:

We kicked off the year with Fit February, taking on a daily Squat & Step Challenge that encouraged colleagues to stay active while raising money for a fantastic cause. Since then, our fundraising efforts have included an Easter Raffle, Grand National Sweepstake, tasty Cake Sale, Wheel of Fortune Monthly Prize Draw, and a fun-filled Summer Office Fun Day, packed with games and activities.

In July, members of our team took on a challenging 25km trek through the Peak District, with some participants going the extra mile and running the entire route. Every team member pushed themselves to help raise even more funds and awareness for the Oliver King Foundation. Our CEO Simon Steele took part in the Barnstaple Marathon on Sunday 27th September and completed in an impressive 4 hours and 8 minutes.

And we're not stopping there! Our next BIG challenge is Tough Mudder Manchester on 10th October, where our team of dedicated fundraisers will tackle miles of mud, demanding obstacles, and plenty of physical challenges, all in support of this incredible charity.
