Story

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page for our nine day trek ascending Stok Kangri, the highest trekking peak in India at 6,153m. The dates for the trek are Friday 03rd – Sunday 12th August 2018.

Nine of us from the London, Rotterdam, Geneva, and Bahrain offices are taking part; Lesley Owens, Gerard Delsad, Charles Hotimsky, Amaury de Beaumont, Patrick Holzhauser, Guillaume Espinasse, James Thorburn, Jan Sturmhoebel and Till Bargfrede have decided to take on this challenge and we are counting on your support to raise money for three great causes in the process.

We have decided to support these three charities, all with a focus on supporting children:

Himalayan Children - works to provide sponsorship for children in Ladakh whose parents are not able to support the cost of their education, as well as helping to finance the maintenance of educational infrastructure in the region.

Magic Bus - working with India's poorest communities and children using an award-winning activity-based curriculum culminating in a Livelihoods programme.

Omneyat – is committed to promoting research based practice in the treatment of children with autism and provide therapeutic services for children in Bahrain with behavioural and developmental challenges, supporting them to reach their potential.

We will be visiting a MagicBus project in Delhi and a school in Ladakh through Himalayan Children as well as Omneyat in order to really see where your support will be implemented and the positive impact that we can all help to achieve by donating to these worthy causes.

Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated, and the Vitol Foundation has generously agreed to match all donations 100%, so let’s all dig deep!

Thank you very much!
