Story

Dr Shah is raising £10,000 for SmileStar Charity. At SmileStar, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality dental care. We are committed to spreading smiles across the globe by providing dental care services to underprivileged communities in African countries.

Dr. Shah's Dedication to Global Oral Health

Dr. Shah has consistently dedicated his time and expertise to this vital cause, traveling with his family to serve those most in need:

2021: Dr. Shah and his family first volunteered at the Maasai Dental Clinic in Kenya (November 2021),

2022: An incredible mission to remote communities in Tanzania

2024: Most recently, Dr. Shah and his two sons traveled to Mozambique for two weeks, where they provided essential dental care and oral health education to disadvantaged rural communities, directly supporting SmileStar’s objectives.

Looking Ahead: The Zimbabwe Mission

Dr. Shah’s commitment continues, and he is already planning his next self-funded mission. In March 2026, he is scheduled to travel to Zimbabwe with his eldest son, Arjun (13), to continue expanding the reach of essential dental services in the region.

SmileStar: Making a Difference

SmileStar is a UK-based charity. Their main goal is to provide free dental care to groups who lack access to safe and effective dental treatment, promoting better oral health.

SmileStar’s volunteers are all self-funded, covering their own airfares and living expenses. The team consists of a group of highly skilled dentists, dental nurses, dental therapists, doctors, and non-dental practitioners who assist with sterilisations.

We wish Dr. Shah and his son Arjun (13 years), the best of luck on the upcoming adventure to Zimbabwe!
