I've raised £2000 to pay for Prof David Smythe's technical submission to the Environment Agency concerning oil drilling at Leith Hill.

David Smythe, Emeritus Professor of Geophysics, University of Glasgow has kindly agreed to make a technical representation to the the EA on Europa’s permit application on behalf of A Voice For Leith Hill. This crowdfunding initiative is to cover his baseline costs: for approx 15 days work on research, analysis and write-up that would normally be charged at £1000/day.
In his professional experience of accessing drill sites for the oil industry, he says he would never have advised Europa to drill on Leith Hill - and that’s before considering the vital water issues. With 15 years experience at the British Geological Survey, as a geophysicist he has the overview which will compliment the other reports currently being commissioned by hydrogeologists.
