Brief History: This Voice of Hope social enterprise story started in 2016 when i was encountered by a young woman who had been sexually abused by her uncle in Cameroon, Africa, she most trusted and could not seek justice the first time it happened due to societal pressures of prioritizing protecting her abusers identity to save the family name, Honour and not be shamed be others. This same uncle sexually abused her again in 2016 in the UK and thankfully, because there a vigorous system in place, she was able to get support, rehabilitation and justice. I was so moved and inspired by her story that i decided to make a film Called Breach of Trust to help raise awareness on the issue of Incest and sexual abuse. The film got an amazing response and i decided to then create the association Voice of Hope to put support systems in place for my community in the UK and in Cameroon so victims can no longer feel the need to treat this subject as taboo and seek help and support.I have already started running educational workshops but i need more funds to be able to achieve all the outcomes we want

Reasons for Fundrasing and Needs

We are fundraise for Incest/sexual abuse victims. Roseline Fonkwa-Moundjongui is a UK business woman and Film Maker who is fundraising Provide educational workshops on how to identify signs of sexual abuse, how to prevent it once identified, and put support systems in place for victims of Incest and Sexual espeacially young victims in Cameroon Africa where she grew up and in her community here in the UK.

She also wants to build a centre which will provide counselling sessions, training for family members, espeacially mothers who are often those who can pick up signs and act on it first, family members, members of the community and also local church leaders. She wants the centre to also act as a hub where different professionals will be able to come in to provide their services to victims and educate as stated above. some of these will include social services, doctors, nurses, Counsellors, social workers, Lawyers and many more.

Sadly the victims are often as young as 8 or 10 years. These young girls have had their dignity stolen from them often it's an uncle, family friend and in some cases a father. Sadly the abuse is lives within their memory for a life time - the centre will help them rebuild their lives and over-come the trauma they have experienced and hopefully to learn to trust again. It's important victims of sexual abuse have somewhere to go for help and counselling, medical support, legal support, social welfare support,e.t.c many of these young girls have their virginity stolen. They are betrayed; abused emotionally, physically and mentally and then they live with the fear of others finding out. We hope to give them back their dignity by offering emotional and moral support and also provide sustainable solutions to kepthem away from these abusive situations.
